The Plumbing Shop provides the following as regular maintenance jobs or
projects:
- Repair all plumbing (pipes and fixtures) integral to the building operating system
- Unplug drains and drain lines
- Repair steam, gas and distilled water lines, and replace underground water and sewer
pipes
- Repair heating and cooling systems. lab drains, fixtures, and plumbing components such
as tanks, valves, traps, exchangers and water heaters
- Maintain and repair boilers and water softeners
- Maintain services to plumbing appliances
The Plumbing Shop performs the following services on a reimbursable basis:
- Plumbing associated with remodels or renovations
- Perform minor construction
- Install new equipment to repair plumbing
- Repair plumbing problems related to departmental equipment
